Do or die for Newcastle

Kfm's soccer correspondent Richard Gomes says tonight's Premiership game between Newcastle and Middlesborough is the biggest in both club's history.

The Magies go into the game level on points with Borough as they battle for survival in top flight English football.

With three games to go a win is vital to either club as they look to keep their Premiership status

Gomes says Alan Shearer's arrival at Newcastle has breathed new life into the club.

"He ! has instilled disciplined since he came to the club five and half weeks ago and the players are all upbeat. They now realize that they need to take maximum points tonight and I think that it's a night for their men to stand up and be counted."

Gomes added there are huge financial implications should Newcastle get the drop.

"Defeat tonight will push one of the sides to the brink financially especially with the heavy payroll their players are on. To tumble out of the Premier League into the Championship will cost each club around 40 million pounds."
